About time somebody yelled about those racist traders that we once supported because we wanted to keep a few Black folks on top. This is the Most Truthful depiction of the truth that I've ever seen! We were put in the trick bag and now it is time to break out. I say, kill rap crap! It has killed too many of us. We must stop any type of negative media influences that teaches us to hurt and harm ourselves. DO NOT SPEND ANY MONEY or WATCH ANY BLACK PERSON WHO DOESN'T SERVE OUR BEST INTEREST, PERIOD! WE SPEAK WITH OUR DOLLARS AND OUR WORDS! WRITE LETTERS TO BUSINESSES OR MEDIA OUTLETS ABOUT IMAGES THAT YOU DON'T LIKE AND TELL THEM WHY. YEA! IT'S ON! LET'S DO OUR THING BECAUSE THE PRODUCER AND THE RAPPER ON THIS VIDEO/SONG DIDN'T HOLD BACK AND NEITHER SHOULD WE. MUCH LOVE, PEARL JR. http://www.BlackWomenNeedLoveToo.com P.S. WE DON'T OWN THAT RAP CRAP ANYWAY--KILL IT DEAD! |

Please explain what you mean by stuff. I don't want your comment to be misunderstood. You see what happened to John Kerry.

Reply with quote | #5 | Maybe I am missing something here, what did he say that was wrong? Of course we do not agree that any of these sell outs should actually be "lynched", but that is what they have done to our image!
Too harsh.............I don't think so, not in this day and age!

From: Diary of a Lost Girl -- The Autobiography of Kola Boof
*"The Hip Hop Holocaust would signal the birth of a new ideology amongst American blacks, a new cultural ethic that would eventually migrate to blacks all over the world-a cultural ethic that now openly embraced and promoted materialism, misogyny, disloyalty and anarchy. Whereas the Civil Rights and Black Power Movements had unified black people worldwide and brought about independence and nation-building in Africa, and a huge renaissance in self-love, unity and empowerment. -- the Hip Hop Holocaust destroyed all that. This was the music that eventually renamed the mothers of the men who performed it-'bitches' and 'hos' - and made it fashionable to be colorist (against black women) and self-centered (bling-bling). I call it a 'holocaust' because it effectively killed the core community in Black America and completely bamboozled the black youth and separated them from their true worth. No one was willing to stand up to the Hip Hop anarchists. I was there, a new American and a black child in 1980. What others praise as a revolutionary new expression of the 'black man's' experience in America. I regard, in retrospect, as a poison against the people." -- Excerpted from Chapter Six, "The Stuff That Dreams Are Made of" __________________ It's time to Unite Us |

I congratulate Wal-mart for choosing not to sell records with explict lyrics. However, right in our midst at the Baldwin Crenshaw is a there is corporate store that sells gangsta rap in Spanish and English, along with other music and DVD's. The music promotes and glorifies violence, against us. It's store is called FYE which stands for For Your Entertainment, A more accurate name would be For Your Self Destruction. The music has negative and socio-economic The CDs sale for about $15.00. About 50 cents of that goes to the rapper. The rest goes to the retailer and record labels, which are not Black owned. Neither are most of the radio stations that play gansta rap crap. That's the real "Game" I would like to see the store, stop selling the gangsta rap crap or leave. What if anything do you think should be done? __________________ It's time to Unite Us |
